You can reset your recovery phrase in the event that it is lost or compromised. You do not need your recovery phrase in order to reset it.
On your browser, go to id.ai.
From the dropdown, click on your Internet Identity name and log in.
Click on Access and recovery.
Click, Recovery phrase
Click, Reset
Resetting will invalidate your current recovery phrase, leaving only the new one usable. Click, Reset.
Save your recovery phrase! Click to reveal – write down your recovery phrase in order and verify it afterwards. Store it safely and do not share it. Losing it means you will lose access. Once you've saved it, written it down and stored it safely, click I have written it down.
Verify your recovery phrase by selecting each word in the correct order. Once complete, your recovery phrase will have successfully become activated, overriding the old one. It can be used at any time to recover your identity.
