If I lose my device that I use to connect to Internet Identity, will I still be able to use Internet Identity?

Clearing your browser cache erases the keys on certain products, which will lock you out of your account if you do not have a recovery phrase or additional devices in place. We strongly advise users to set up multiple passkeys.


If you have an Internet Identity tied to only one device, and you lose that device, you will be locked out unless your passkey is synced across devices. As a best practice, we always recommend adding multiple devices and recovery mechanisms to every Internet Identity.
